Le Creuset launches new Recipe App

“What’s for supper tonight?”

Le Creuset has the answer to that perennial question in the form of our newly launched Recipe App, now available for iOS and Android. Users can cook up a storm in the kitchen, with the new app ensuring you’ll never be stuck for ideas when planning your next feast – whether a sit-down family meal or festive dinner party for friends.

The dynamic app features a repository of more than 500 recipes from different cuisines; effectively a virtual “buffet” of dishes to choose from. This unique cookery tool puts a collection of varied recipes straight into the palm of the hand, delivering a convenient and easy-to-use package across all platforms.

With a newly redesigned website, heavy social media presence and informative blog, the Recipe App is just one more way in which Le Creuset keeps itself on-point with meeting user demands for new digital trends. The app merges the best part of our 90 year-long heritage with an emphasis on constantly being innovative.

One of the app’s standout features is its very useful shopping list, which makes buying ingredients for your culinary creation a breeze. The list takes the concept of the standard recipe book and expands upon it – allowing ingredients to be checked off as the user shops. Eliza Acton, the Victorian-era cook whose pioneering cookbook introduced the now-universal practice of listing ingredients alongside each recipe, could never have imagined how far technology would simplify her original idea.

Pork Chop and Vegetable Roast with Cider Gravy
In this recipe, pork chops are roasted over a selection of root vegetables to make a substantial, but speedy, roast ideal for weeknight cooking. The vegetables can be changed to suit different tastes, or you can use just potatoes and onions. The Roaster can be used on the hob to make a delicious, cider-flavoured gravy.

Tempura Prawns Peking-style
The special double-coating makes these prawns extra crunchy and delicious. Large, raw prawns are butterflied and coated in an aromatic paste of fresh ginger, spring onion and seasoning. The prawns are dusted in cornflour, dipped in tempura batter and then into breadcrumbs and deep-fried until golden and crunchy. Accompany with a readymade sweet chilli dip and some fresh coriander leaves. Perfect served as a starter or for party nibbles.

A swirl of granadilla curd runs through this soft and luscious ice cream, giving it a sunny flavour reminiscent of leisurely days spent on the beach or by the poolside. Serve generous scoopfuls in a Le Creuset Ice Cream Bowl, garnishing the ridge of the bowl with chocolate.
