Fried Bananas and Ice-Cream

Serve as a dessert or sweet breakfast with granola and substitute ice-cream for plain yoghurt.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1kg ripe bananas, peeled
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon, ground
  • 1 knob farm style butter
  • ½ cup currants *substitute with cranberries or raisins
  • 2-4 scoops vanilla ice-cream

METHOD

Heat a Le Creuset 28cm Toughened Non-Stick wok over a medium to high heat and melt the butter.

Add the bananas and fry for 6-8 minutes.

Turn off the heat and add cinnamon and currants.

Allow to cool slightly and scoop over vanilla ice-cream with extra cinnamon.

Serve as a dessert or sweet breakfast with granola and substitute ice-cream for plain yoghurt.
