Fried Bananas and Ice-Cream
INGREDIENTS
- 1kg ripe bananas, peeled
- 2 tbsp cinnamon, ground
- 1 knob farm style butter
- ½ cup currants *substitute with cranberries or raisins
- 2-4 scoops vanilla ice-cream
METHOD
Heat a Le Creuset 28cm Toughened Non-Stick wok over a medium to high heat and melt the butter.
Add the bananas and fry for 6-8 minutes.
Turn off the heat and add cinnamon and currants.
Allow to cool slightly and scoop over vanilla ice-cream with extra cinnamon.
Serve as a dessert or sweet breakfast with granola and substitute ice-cream for plain yoghurt.
