Tricks & Treats for a Happy Halloween

Try these ideas for staging the best spooktacular Halloween ever – complete with scary snacks, devilishly cute décor details, delightfully ghoulish goodies and recipes for deliciously freaky treats!

Whether you plan on trick-or-treating from door to door or are going to keep the spooky spoiling on homeground, we’ve got you covered for Halloween. Try these ideas for making an eerie impact with your décor plus your sweet and savoury spoils.

MAKE AN EERIE ENTRANCE

Your guests will dive straight into the fun when they see your excellent creepy efforts. Make a maximum show of your supernatural setup with carved Jack o’ Lanterns in varying sizes.

CANDY CONTAINERS

The Le Creuset Pumpkin Casserole is the ultimate Halloween accessory for serving sweets for trick or treats – or the likes of soup for guests who linger longer. Create a central focal table for guests to help themselves to sweet (and some savoury) snacks. Set your largest containers in the middle (make a tiered stand for sweets by placing upended bowls between plates) and surround them with colour coordinated bowls and plates of Halloween-inspired refreshments and eats.

SCARY SERVINGS

Use the sizeable 6.3 litre Cast Iron Oven Casserole for bobbing apples tricks and a Signature Round Casserole in Flame or Matte Black as a witch’s ‘cauldron’ filled with treats.

Tip: Fill jugs with red food colouring-laced water and stock up on edible eyes at your local baking supplies store – they turn so many snacks into monster munchies.

COLOUR CRAZED CELEBRATION

Want to get everyone in the mood for fun and festivities? Turn up the colour volume and remember that more is more! Line a table top with a juicy edible rainbow of sweets and candies that everyone will love – let’s not forget how gorgeous those Instagram shots will be (PS. Don’t forget to tag us on @lecreusetsa)! Tip: Mini Cocottes in a myriad colours are perfect for hiding sweet (or scary) surprises.

FREAKY FEAST
